Frequently Asked Questions

Which cushion insert should I use with it?

It is made for a 20 x 20 inch cushion. Using a filler one to two inches larger than the cover is the usual trick for a full, rounded look - a same-size insert sits flatter and looks more tailored.

How is this different from the Midas lumbar cover?

Same design and fabric, different shape. This is the 20 x 20 square, which anchors the ends of a sofa; the 14 x 20 lumbar sits in the middle. Many people buy both to build a set.

Will the gold thread work snag?

Metallic thread is finer than cotton, so keep it clear of velcro, zips, rings and pet claws. Avoid hot water and bleach, and iron only from the reverse at low heat.

How do I keep it looking fresh between washes?

Shake it out and brush or vacuum it on low suction once a week. Dust settles quickly in Indian homes and is what dulls both silk sheen and embroidery over time - regular dusting does more for the look than frequent washing.

Does it work as a gift?

Cushion covers are among the more usable housewarming and wedding gifts - nothing to size, easy to pack and courier, and they suit most Indian living rooms whether the decor is ethnic or modern.

Handcrafted in India. As every piece is woven or embroidered by hand, slight variations in colour, texture and detailing are natural and make each cover unique.
