Frequently Asked Questions

Why do chess pieces work as decor?

The silhouettes are already iconic, so a single piece scaled up reads instantly even from across a room. That is why oversized chess pieces turn up on office desks and study shelves far more often than on boards.

Black and white or multicolour - which should I pick?

Black and white is the safer choice for a room that already carries colour, and it reads as graphic rather than playful. The multicolour version suits a plain, minimal space that needs something to look at.

How do I clean acrylic without scratching it?

Use a soft microfibre cloth with plain water or a drop of mild soap. Never use paper towels, tissue or glass cleaner with ammonia - those are what leave the fine scratches and clouding you see on old acrylic.

Is it a playable chess piece?

No, it is a decorative showpiece scaled well beyond playing size. It is bought as sculpture for a desk or shelf rather than as part of a usable set, and no board is included.

Does it work as a gift?

Yes. Desk and shelf accents are among the easier gifts to get right - nothing to size, no taste to guess, and they suit a home or an office cabin equally. Common picks for Diwali, farewells and corporate gifting.
