Herringbone Inlay 5x7 Photo Frame With Quiet Confidence

The herringbone weave has held its place in design for a reason, and this handcrafted frame shows exactly why. Smooth ivory cream tiles run across the silhouette in a precise herringbone pattern, then break at the lower corner into a block of deep jet black. That single deliberate interruption is what turns a classical pattern into something modern, asymmetric and worth a second look.

Key Features

• Standard 5x7 inch opening: Sized for the popular 5x7 print, ideal for portraits, wedding photographs and framed artwork.
• Precise herringbone inlay: Rectangular tiles set at alternating angles by hand for a woven, textured surface.
• Deliberate colour blocking: A jet black section at the lower corner breaks the ivory field and gives the frame a contemporary edge.
• Substantial 1.5 inch profile: 19 cm x 24 cm overall with real depth, giving the frame presence on a shelf or mantel.
• Glass fronted protection: A clear glass panel keeps dust and fading away from your print.
• Handcrafted in India: Built over a durable MDF base and finished by hand, weighing a comfortable 350 g.

How to Style It

It carries a photograph well and empty wall space even better. Lean it against a wall on a floating shelf alongside a small plant, or place it on a study table where the ivory reads bright against dark wood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What print size does this frame take?
A. It fits a standard 5x7 inch photograph, a common size for portraits and wedding prints at Indian studios, so no custom sizing is needed.

Q. Is the black section intentional or a manufacturing variation?
A. It is entirely intentional. The colour blocked corner is a designed feature meant to break the symmetry of the herringbone weave and give the frame a modern character.

Q. How do I maintain the inlay work?
A. Dust it weekly with a dry microfibre cloth so grit does not collect in the seams between tiles. Keep the frame out of direct sunlight and away from damp walls.

Q. Can this frame stand on a table or must it be hung?
A. It is made for table top display on a desk, shelf, console or mantel. It also leans neatly against a wall on a floating shelf if you prefer that look.

Q. Would this suit a formal wedding gift?
A. Yes, particularly when gifted with a printed photograph of the couple already inside. The ivory palette suits traditional and contemporary homes alike, which makes it a low risk choice.
