Will a regular agarbatti fit in the holder?

Yes. The carved hole is sized for the standard agarbatti sticks sold in India. Thicker dhoop sticks may need to be angled slightly, and the carved channel catches the ash as it falls.

Does it really catch all the ash?

At 20 cm it sits under almost the whole length of a standard agarbatti, so ash falls into the channel rather than on the shelf. A stick placed at a steeper angle can still drop a little ash past the end.

Does incense ash leave marks on the stone?

Light ash wipes off with a soft damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use warm water with a drop of mild soap and dry the piece immediately - avoid bleach, acidic cleaners and steel scrubbers.

Can I keep it in the puja room or mandir?
