Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it hold?

At 19 x 14.5 inches it takes a teapot, four to six cups and a plate of snacks - a full round for guests rather than a two-cup service tray.

Can I serve food directly on it?

Yes for dry items - namkeen, dry fruits, mithai, cookies, starters. For anything oily or gravy-based, use small bowls on the surface, which also keeps cleaning simple after a party.

Is it heavy to carry when loaded?

Carry it with both hands and keep the heaviest items towards the centre, as with any large tray. The raised edges stop cups sliding when you turn a corner.

How do I keep the steel looking new?

Hand wash in warm water with mild dish soap and dry immediately with a soft cloth - water left to dry is what causes the spotting you see on neglected steel. Avoid steel wool and scouring powder, which leave permanent scratches on a polished finish.

Does it work as a gift?

Serveware is among the more reliable Diwali, griha pravesh and wedding gifts - nothing to size, and it gets used rather than stored away.
