Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for a wooden tray?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry at once. Wood should never be soaked or put in a dishwasher - water is what warps and cracks it. Spills are best wiped off immediately rather than left to sit.

Can I put hot cups directly on it?

Use coasters or mats under anything straight off the stove. A hot vessel placed directly on a polished wooden surface can leave a permanent ring.

Is it sturdy enough for a full tea service?

Yes, and the handles are what make it manageable. Keep the heaviest items towards the centre and carry with both hands.

Can I serve food directly on it?

Yes for dry items - namkeen, dry fruits, mithai, cookies, starters. For anything oily or gravy-based, use small bowls on the surface, which also keeps cleaning simple after a party.

Can I gift this at a housewarming?

It is a safe griha pravesh choice - useful from day one and neutral enough to suit whatever the recipient's dining setup looks like.
